Annual Conference

Our annual conference ("international congress") is held over a five or six day period. The host nation sets the theme for the lectures and each of the six branches provides a speaker. The lectures are usually in English, but if not, translation is provided. Each of the six branches also brings along a traditional entertainer from their country for informal entertainment and a more formal concert. Excursions and visits also form part of the Conference. For language enthusiasts there is an opportunity to hear and try out the other Celtic languages.

Aberystwyth, Cymru / Wales 2020

NOTE: It is necessary for delegates to arrange their own accommodation with the Marine Hotel quoting ‘the Celtic Congress’. They have a large choice of accommodation: single & double rooms, apartments (nearby); out of town they also have cottages, lodges and camping facilities. Delegates staying at the hotel should book for BBD (this package includes bed, breakfast and evening meal). The evening meal on Monday and Friday will include the Civic Welcome and the International Cabaret respectively. We hope that delegates staying elsewhere will book for evening meals at the Marine Hotel in order to enjoy the full programme of events.
